My Top Anime Series

A list of my favourite anime series. It will be continuously updated.



The first 5 series are my top 5, but after that, I just list them in no particular order. All are really good anime series that I would recommend.




1. KATEKYO HITMAN REBORN



GENRE: action, comedy, drama, supernatural, mafia

WHY? Interesting plot about mafia families with supernatural powers, excellent character design/art & animation, plenty of action and laughs!!



2. YAMATO TAKERU



GENRE: action, adventure, fantasy, magic, mecha, sci-fi, space

RELEASE DATE: 1994

EPISODES: 37



WHY? One of my childhood anime series and I love it! It is this anime that made me fell in love with mecha. The robots are all unique and seems to have emotions reflecting their owner's personality. It can also transform into a more mature state! The plot is pretty typical but it still kept me interested. Some of character designs are kinda cheesy, but the robot designs are very well done.



3. CARDCAPTOR SAKURA



GENRE: adventure, magic, romance

RELEASE DATE: 1998-2000

WHY? One of my childhood anime series. Interesting plot about magical cards and magical powers. It explores meaningful themes such as friendship, unselfish love, family, and many more. It is one of the few series that I still enjoy re-watching.



4. MUSHISHI



GENRE: adventure, drama, mystery, psychological, supernatural

RELEASE DATE: 2005-2006

WHY? Interesting, unique and creative anime series. It also has beautiful sceneries and has a very likeable main (only) character - Ginko!!Highly recommended for those looking for thoughtful & meaningful storylines.



5. BLEACH



GENRE: action, comedy, super power, supernatural

WHY? I can't believe the anime ended. Sure, it has fillers and I do skip some of them, but the main arc is interesting and I really like it. The character designs and animation are well done and there are good character developments with plenty of action.
